Gloss Non-coat is a unique coating created by SHL that can be used to generate barcodes (GS1/Databar) that do not require a white background.
Gloss Non-coat retains the metallic look and feel of aluminum and can be rendered in gold or other colors.
It has a reduced titanium oxide content that helps to reduce the packaging workload and the amount of friction on the cutting blades.
Gloss Non-coat products are available in a range of options including 100% titanium-free, moiré patterning, forgery prevention PTP sheet and a variety of colors.

"Shadow" printing applys our long-selling product "Gloss Non-coat (R)" technology.
It paints darker color partly(in shape of marks or letters).
It makes the most of Gloss Non-coat (R)'s reflection characteristic, and so it is invisible in a certain luminous intensity.
It is useful for forgery prevention and improving appearance.
As well as standard Gloss Non-coat (R) it has reading performance of barcodes and less friction on cutting blades.

Functional PTP is a PTP sheet that contains a functional aluminum layer.
It is applied as a localized coating to (non-sealed) pockets only and does not affect heat sealing performance.
Functional PTP absorbs odors from the container, thus minimizing the impact of unwanted odors released when the PTP sheet or outer pillow is opened.

Flexible PTP is a stretchable form of PTP aluminum foil made with a special coating.
It is easier to handle, portable and more resistant to tearing. It is also more hygienic as a packaging material with greater resistance to pinhole damage.

Unlike conventional PTP packaging materials, low-formaldehyde PTP emits close to zero formaldehyde when heated during the packaging process.
The results of formaldehyde testing conducted at SHL can be provided upon delivery.

A continuous post-printing system is used to add both visible and invisible text. Suitable for small-lot production runs.

On-demand printing enables full-color printing without printing plates, opening up a whole new world of color and design options for PTP packaging.
Digital data is uploaded to the printer and rendered directly onto PTP foil.

Custom entry sheet helps to reduce friction on drill bits when drilling into the substrate. It also improves dimensional accuracy, produces smoother internal walls on drilled holes, and reduces the incidence of snapped drill bits.

We make carbon-coated aluminum foil products, drawing on over 40 years of experience and knowledge with aluminum foil production and quality control systems.

New production equipment coming in FY2020 will boost production capacity and can accommodate substrate widths of up to 1.2 m. It will also enable production of custom lines such as carbon-coated copper foil and carbon-coated foil combined with client-supplied electrode coating in accordance with ever-changing needs.
